Japan Tsunami Video - Tsunami hits Japan after 8.9 magnitude quake

8.9 magnitude quake hit Japan on 11th March 2011, 1446 local time (0546 GMT), the record began has struck the Japan’s north-east and triggered a tsunami. Building, ships and cars are swept away by water after this powerful quake. There is an emergency declared at a nuclear power plant, there were no radiation leak.

This is another global disaster after 26 Dec 2004, Sumatra, Indonesia: 9.1 quakes.
At the moment, at least 50 people have been killed by this earthquake, which struck about 400km north-east of Tokyo. Official death toll yet to announce, but expected to rise significantly.



Unofficial reports had quote Japanese police found hundred of bodies in the port city of Sendai.
Tsunami Alert was extended across the Pacific to North and South America. Even Google had giving tsunami warning to New Zealand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Hawaii in their website.
